Service Description: The LIGHTING CORRIDOR, a concept developed in the mid-1990’s, provides a more highly lighted connection of walks from the Franklin Street area down to the high-rise residence halls along Manning Drive. The concept was that, in providing the higher level lighting, more people would use these walks and thus there would be a larger concentration of people, further enhancing the feeling and actuality of increased safety and security. This concept has been proven in pedestrian surveys over the years wherein students valued using this means of transit from north to south on campus.
